Victor Julien-Laferrière and Théo Fouchenneret are already old chamber music friends: the number of concerts they have shared is countless.<div> They are here to introduce the Gaveau audience to Nadia Boulanger's Three Plays.</div><div> They are a musical delight – these little-known pieces are so comforting. Next comes a pinnacle of French music, Franck's sonata in its cello version, so cherished by the composer; and a gift from Edvard Grieg to his cellist brother, John. Friendship and sharing: perhaps this is the key to the evening and the challenge that the musicians take on in chamber music.</div><div><br></div><div> Program</div><div> Nadia Boulanger • Three Pieces for Cello and Piano NB 45</div><div> César Franck • Sonata for cello and piano</div><div> Edvard Grieg • Sonata for cello and piano in A minor, Op. 36</div><div><br></div><div> Interpreters</div><div> Théo Fouchenneret • piano</div><div> Victor Julien-Laferrière • cello</div>
