After 2 triumphant seasons from 2021 to 2023 at the Théâtre de Paris, 300,000 spectators and 2 Molière Awards, the delirious musical comedy "The Producers" by Mel Brooks, directed by Alexis Michalik, is back and it's going to be a blast! With twelve Tony Awards to its credit, "The Producers" is THE most awarded Broadway musical! Created in 2001 and running for six years, this show is the stage adaptation of the 1967 film directed by Mel Brooks, which has become a landmark of comedy and satire. Daring, irreverent, funny, and particularly offbeat, the show, adapted for the first time in France in 2021, is directed by Alexis Michalik, the prodigy of French theater (The Storyteller, 2012; The Illusionists' Circle, 2014; Edmond, 2016; Passport, 2024). The show "The Producers" returns this year with a renewed cast of 16 artists accompanied by 7 equally eccentric musicians. Through its themes, "The Producers" resonates surprisingly with current events and poses the question, "Can we laugh at everything?" “Hope for the best, expect the worst, life is a game. We haven’t rehearsed.” Mel Brooks. The Story: A Broadway producer on the verge of bankruptcy devises an insurance scam by staging “Flowers for Hitler,” the worst musical ever, with the worst script, directed by the worst director, and with the worst cast imaginable. Things get complicated when the anticipated flop becomes an unexpected hit… THE PRODUCERS: The Mel Brooks Musical. Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan. Music and Lyrics by Mel Brooks. Original Direction and Choreography by Susan Stroman. By special arrangement with Studio Canal. “A remedy for the prevailing gloom.” France 2 – Télématin. “A great moment of burlesque and laughter.” France Info. “We laughed out loud.” ELLE PREVIEW - The performances on September 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2025 are previews. These rehearsals allow the creators and the company to refine the show in front of an audience. The performance may be interrupted at any time by the director or the production team for artistic or technical reasons. A lower price is therefore charged for these special sessions. ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY: The main auditorium of the Théâtre de Paris is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Reservations are required and must be made through our booking service at +33 1 48 74 25 37.
