Pierre Soulages' paintings on paper are less well-known than his works on canvas. Yet, for the artist, this was a fertile field of experimentation, contributing to his renown from the beginning of his career, and which he pursued until the last years of his life. Accompanied by a museum lecturer, discover or rediscover the full scope of this major aspect of Soulages' work. Every day except Mondays at 12:15 pm, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 5 pm, and Mondays at 5 pm and 8 pm. Special sessions are offered during school holidays. On the days of children's workshops, a guided tour is organized at 2:30 pm to allow adults to also enjoy the exhibition. The number of participants for individual guided tours is limited. From September 17, 2025 to January 11, 2026. Rarely brought together, Pierre Soulages' work on paper constitutes an essential part of his artistic journey. Thanks to exceptional loans from the Soulages Museum, the exhibition brings together 130 works created between the 1940s and the early 2000s, including 25 previously unseen pieces, and invites you to rediscover the artist in a practice that is both intimate and defining, at the heart of his artistic language.
