A family road movie between France and the Middle East.<div> Bibi, a midwife, lives in France with her son Philippe, while her husband Abdul is a professor at the University of Baghdad. In 1966, Philippe is eight years old. Driven by love, hopes, and the uncertainties of exile, Bibi packs the whole family into an Opel Rekord and heads for Baghdad. A new life begins in Iraq, where Abdul is appointed Minister of Agriculture. The political climate quickly becomes tense, work becomes scarce, and insecurity grows.
