Moulay in Dysfunctional
Moulay in Dysfunctional
To bookDescription
Moulay goes on stage in a jumpsuit, thinking it gives him a Dave Chappelle style, in the end he looks like Olivier from Carglass.
He asks himself questions, many questions: "Is the CEO of Free a Free subscriber?", perhaps because he grew up as the eldest of three children (two too many in his opinion) in a neighborhood with talking cats and gossipy women at their windows. The tone is set.

Self-diagnosed with ADHD, Moulay talks about mental health, corporate life, signs from the universe, his life as a couple for over twenty years, his problem with tidying up, his travel mishaps, his relationship with religion, God and the devil, his vision of hell which surely resembles a trampoline park on a Saturday afternoon.

After a burnout in 2018, he started a café-theater, which was both his best therapy and a true revelation. He began organizing shows, performing in comedy clubs in Lyon, Geneva, Paris, Marseille, Nice, Clermont, Saint-Étienne, Fréjus... He opened for Manu Payet and Ben, and realized that this was the life he wanted to lead in this Italian-style theater in Aix-les-Bains.

Dysfunctional: that's the title of the show, summarizing what he feels in this society, we all feel dysfunctional at some point in our lives, in business, in love, in friendship, we break things, we repair them, we get angry and we reconcile.

He is the sum of all the characters in the show: mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother, cat, bitch from the office... in building this Moulay realized that it was not his family that was dysfunctional but himself, except that now: he accepts it.

Did you know that?

He is rehearsing this show from the last quarter of 2024 to June 2025, and taking it to Avignon for the festival.
