Gambetta's house. Objects, witnesses of an era.<p> Seeking peace away from Paris, Gambetta became the owner, some forty years after Balzac, of the small pavilion at Les Jardies in Sèvres. The statesman made few changes to this very simple house, covered with trellises, where he died in 1882. Dedicated, since then, to the memory of Gambetta, Les Jardies has retained its original decor and houses various commemorative objects.<br><br> <strong>Please note:<br></strong> Your ticket gives you access to the venue at any time of day.<br> <strong>Last entry to the monument 30 minutes before closing time.<br><br> Schedules :<br></strong> Open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and every other weekend (except in exceptional circumstances).<br> Guided tour at 2:30pm, then self-guided tour from 4pm to 6:30pm.</p><p dir="ltr"> <strong>Annual closures:</strong><br> January 1st<br> May 1st<br> December 25<strong id="docs-internal-guid-68373ef3-7fff-ff0d-2712-4dc8806f8aa8"></strong><strong><br></strong><br> Free entry on the first Sunday of the month, from November 1st to March 31st.<br> Free for EU citizens or legal residents under 26, and for primary and secondary school teachers.
