Jack and his mother are very poor. One day, Jack has to sell their only cow to get some money. But Jack, who is always getting into mischief, trades the cow for a bean that's supposed to be magic... His mother is furious and throws the bean into the garden. The next day, the bean has grown enormous: it has grown all the way to the sky!
