Guided tour: Impressionism at the Musée d'Orsay for children
Guided tour: Impressionism at the Musée d'Orsay for children
To bookDescription
Introduce your children to major works of art to spark their curiosity and encourage an appreciation of diverse cultures. During this visit, your children will discover the birth of Impressionism, a new way of seeing the world. Most children have seen pictures of works by Monet, Renoir, or Degas and are very receptive to them because they don't need any prior artistic or historical knowledge to understand them. A landscape, a dancer, or even a turkey painted in bright colors won't evoke any rejection in their minds. However, they will be surprised to learn that many of these artists caused scandals and were even labeled "mad." With the help of a small booklet and fun, interactive activities, they will become judges of the artworks and discover the details that so shocked the public of the time.

This visit is child-centered and should ideally take place among children's own peers to encourage freedom of expression, full enjoyment, and to overcome shyness. It's an excellent way to ensure that little ones have a great time.

Namely:

Adults are welcome to join the tour. To do so, they must reserve their place and purchase the museum entrance ticket (16 euros) on the day of the tour inside the museum. Tickets can also be purchased online, but if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour may be cancelled.
Children under 18 are exempt from museum entry but it is essential to book a free entry ticket.

The meeting point for the visit will be mentioned on your voucher after purchase.
