Schumann - Strauss - Szymanowski - Ravel<div> Clara Schumann - Three Romances for Piano and Violin, Op. 22</div><div> Richard Strauss - Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat major, Op. 18</div><div> Karol Szymanowski - Myths for violin and piano, Op. 30</div><div> Maurice Ravel - Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in G major</div><div><br></div><div> Violinist Ekaterina Frolova made her debut at the age of seven, performing a Vivaldi violin concerto. After studying at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, she joined the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has won numerous international prizes, including the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the Louis Spohr Competition in Freiburg, and the Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna. She has performed as a soloist in Germany, Finland, and China, and has worked with conductors such as Yuri Temirkanov and Vasily Petrenko. With Vesselin Stanev, she has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, and the Musikverein in Vienna. She forms the Vienna Vision Trio with cellist Peter Somodari and pianist Dorothy Khadem-Missagh. Since autumn 2015 she has been one of the first violins of the Vienna State Opera and since 2018 of the Vienna Philharmonic.</div><div> Pianist Vesselin Stanev, originally from Varna, Bulgaria, trained at the Sofia Academy of Music and later with Dmitri Bashkirov at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Alexis Weissenberg, and at the Paris Conservatory. He received further guidance from Peter Feuchtwanger in London. He is a prizewinner at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Competition and the Marguerite Long – Jacques Thibaud Competition. He performs regularly in major European concert halls, such as Wigmore Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and the Salle Gaveau in Paris. He also tours the Nordic countries, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Russia, and Japan. He is particularly drawn to chamber music, collaborating with artists such as violinist Ekaterina Frolova, flautist Eva Oertle, and cellist Zoltán Despond. He has recorded numerous CDs for RCA, Sony Classical and the Bulgarian label Gega New.</div>
