Baroque ballet for cranes and backhoes where real construction equipment meets the music of Henry Purcell in a fantastic universe.<div> On stage, three stagehands try to tame a backhoe, a large naval crane, and a small crane that refuse to work and go on strike against this performance-based construction site. Forced to suppress their emotions, they revolt in order to finally break free.</div><div><br></div><div> In this wordless, family-friendly creation blending puppet theatre and Baroque music, machines become characters in their own right, and the workers, their puppeteer alter egos. Born from a fascination with the beauty of utilitarian objects, the show questions our relationship to performance and attempts to transform our inner landscape by burying our sorrows with the mighty blows of a backhoe.</div><div><br></div>
