A humanist, lighthearted and simple documentary about life in the mines of the North with its share of joys and sufferings.<div> In 1958, in Noeux-Les-Mines, a small mining town in the North of France, Sosthène, "the life of the party and bar philosopher", has just bought, thanks to his silicosis pension, a black and white TV.</div><div><br></div><div> He desperately wants to see the World Cup in Sweden, and especially young Raymond Kopa (star of the French national team and former miner from Noeux) score goals.
