How can we love each other when we're not looking in the same direction, when every discussion becomes a conflict of values?<div> Bastien and Chloé, journalists at the start of their careers, work for a show that has made provocation its stock-in-trade. The professional pressure is intense, the attraction between the two young journalists irresistible. Their story sweeps them away, the pace quickens, accelerating and crushing their disagreements. The play's approach is to place the couple at the heart of society, following them from meeting to meeting: work, condominium, family, town hall, and even a points recovery program. On the agenda: Bastien and his principles, Chloé and her plans. Various issues arise: compromises, resistance, blind spots, and realizations. Four actors take on different roles for each scene.</div><div> Beyond the love story between Bastien and Chloé, the central theme of Agenda is speech: its capture, its circulation, its manipulation, its impact, or its complete lack of impact. Who holds the power? Who speaks? Has everyone present had the opportunity to express themselves? Through Bastien and Chloé, the audience witnesses in real time one remaining silent when they should be speaking, the other making deals when they should be breaking away.</div><div><br></div><div> Agnès Marietta met Julien Gallix when he was an apprentice at the Studio/Esca in Asnières and she was leading a writing workshop for the school. They both envision a theatre of dialogues and situations, like a mirror held up to the audience, magnifying the flaws and contradictions of the society in which we live. A place of truths and lies, of concealment and revelation, the stage celebrates the extraordinary within ordinary life.</div>
