Francesco Geminiani is an almost legendary figure of the Baroque period.<div> A virtuoso violinist, he was a pupil of Alessandro Scarlatti and Arcangelo Corelli. His name was once mentioned alongside those of Vivaldi and Handel. Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge invite us to rediscover this unjustly neglected composer.</div><div> Alongside La Foresta incantata, which Geminiani composed in 1754 to accompany a pantomime at the Tuileries Palace, the program for this concert offers superb arias and duets from operas by his two great contemporaries, Handel and Vivaldi.
