By reflecting on their integration process in France, the two artists confront a reflection on what is translatable and untranslatable.<div> You don't know me is an autofictional show performed by an actress and a musician.</div><div><br></div><div> On stage, Ana Maria and ZêThó, both Brazilian, attempt to translate a song dear to their hearts for the audience, but the task proves more complex than anticipated. Leading to failures that are sometimes comical, sometimes pathetic, this translation attempt gradually becomes an exploration of the difficulties of translating oneself. The stage then becomes a space where the awkwardness of translation reveals unspoken assumptions, exotic fantasies, and resistances, but also the possibilities of inventing a common language capable of transcending linguistic and symbolic boundaries.
