A timeless romantic moment surrounded by the most beautiful piano pieces in the intimate setting of the oldest church in Paris, opposite Notre Dame.<p> Philippe Alègre, pianist</p><p> It was with the national orchestra of the Capitole de Toulouse, invited by its conductor Michel Plasson, that Philippe Alègre made his debut as a concert pianist.</p><p> The pianist Aldo Ciccolini will perform it for the first time in Paris at the Salle Gaveau in 1989.</p><p> Since then he has continued his career in France and abroad in piano duo, chamber music, as a soloist and has shared the stage with many operatic artists.</p><p> Philippe Alègre has performed at, among other venues, the Musique d'été festival and the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Lyon Opera, the Grandes Heures de Cluny, the Riom International Piano Festival, the Hyères Festival, the Cziffra Festival, the Abbaye de L'Epau, the Annecy Festival, Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux... as well as in Budapest, Seville, Amsterdam, Malta, Geneva, Brussels, Athens...</p><p> In Paris he gave numerous concerts in the prestigious Gaveau and Cortot halls.</p><p> Alongside his concert career, he was the founder and artistic director of the "Nuits musicales du Rouergue" from 2003 to 2022. He is currently the artistic director of "Piano Passion", a series of concerts throughout the year at the Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre church in Paris.</p><p> He recorded solo "Intime" in 2013 and "Chopin" in 2019, two pianos with Fabrice Boulanger "West side story", with soprano Edwige Bourdy "Encanto", and with accordionist Thomas Chedal "Nostalgia del Tango".</p>
