Dante in 360° – 10 years of the Auditorium<div> On April 21, 2017, Laurence Equilbey conducted the inaugural concert at La Seine Musicale with the Insula Orchestra. Ten years later, the orchestra celebrates this anniversary with a new work created specifically for the Patrick-Devedjian Auditorium: a new, custom-built circular structure that places the orchestra at the center of the hall and suspends a screen above it. From every seat, the audience is immersed in the heart of the performance.</div><div><br></div><div> On the program is Liszt's Dante Symphony – inspired by the Divine Comedy and driven by the composer's dream of a total art form, which he wished to extend through spectacular images, unattainable in his time. This desire finds its fulfillment today in Mat Collishaw's immersive creation: a video projected onto the circular screen that transposes Dante's Inferno into our contemporary crises.</div><div><br></div><div> Present throughout the program, the voice of Magdalena Kožená – one of the most admired mezzo-sopranos of her generation – accompanies this journey through the Underworld. A seminal evening, at the crossroads of music, image, and sound architecture.</div>
