Paul Dukas's The Sorcerer's Apprentice, a symphonic poem whose popularity was amplified by Walt Disney's animated film Fantasia, is performed by the Kheops ensemble in a version for 6 musicians and arbitrated by Maureen Dor, a conductor like no other!

Parents and children are invited to a very special kind of concert in the 360-degree Auditorium of La Seine Musicale: the apprentice team (the parents) faces off against the wizard team (the children) in a musical mime game, which follows the fantastic adventures of the young wizard... or rather his misadventures, because he is soon overwhelmed by the magic he uses...

To tell these adventures through music, Dukas composed evocative themes: the broom that comes to life; the trickling of water; the uncontrollable frenzy of the brooms... A musical playground where young and old alike can explore sounds and instruments through the composer's rich sonic palette and discover music while having fun!
