The Arpeggiata<p> This Golden Tower, the "Torro del Oro", is the one that stands in Seville on the banks of the Guadalquivir and whose 12 sides watched over the Spanish ships leaving for several centuries for South America, returning with real treasures, especially musical ones.</p><p> No musician embodies these dizzying exchanges better than Alonso Mudarra, born in 1508 and died in 1580 in Seville. The three volumes of his Tres Libros de música include scores admired throughout Europe, traces of which can be found almost everywhere—even to this day—in the New World. Moreover, they contain songs and instrumental pieces influenced by the indigenous dances of the Americas.</p><p> Christina Pluhar and L'Arpeggiata embark on another of those incredible sonic journeys they are known for.
