Exhilarated by life and the beauty of the world, he lived through the 20th century, of which he was a tireless observer.</p><p> He witnessed both world wars up close, saw Ireland liberated from English rule, toasted with Russian soldiers in Siberia during the 1917 revolution, witnessed the rise and fall of Nazism, the birth of Israel, tracked slave traders in the Horn of Africa, toasted with Edith Piaf and Humphrey Bogart, explored countries as remote as Afghanistan in the middle of the century, and discovered and brought Alcoholics Anonymous to France...</p><p> The show seeks to convey the vital breath of this extraordinary man, the whirlwind that was his life.</p>
