Recital "The Sounds of Nature"
"The piano is neither an animal nor a plant. But it is a window onto the world, my daily walk, my sailboat of the seas, my imaginary landscape. On my walks, I gather things. Images, sensations, sunsets, flowers as well as wild animals: I keep everything. Then I let it rest. I know that one day or another each memory will transform into music, a music that I discover, that imposes itself upon me. I invite you to follow in my footsteps, accepting the idea that everything is transcribed into music, from the simplest emotion to the most elaborate memory, from the delicate rustling of marsh gentians to the flight of short-toed eagles towards the rocks."

Pianist and composer Jean-François Zygel is a virtuoso of improvisation, an artist of invention and spontaneity. Readily blending composition, improvisation and repertoire, his various projects lead him to share the stage with artists from all backgrounds, his main home venues this season being La Seine Musicale, the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, the Grand Théâtre de Provence and the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse.
Jean-François Zygel can regularly be found on France Inter and on France Télévisions, where he defends classical music in all its forms with humor and passion.
