In this trio, Guo Gan returns to his roots and forms a new trio, the "Guo Gan Swordsman Trio," with two expert companions on traditional Chinese instruments: Liu Yiqing (pipa) and Chen Jianan (guzheng). The group combines classical music with Guo Gan's new compositions. The repertoire also incorporates sung elements from Tang Dynasty poetry.<br><br> <strong>Guo Gan:</strong><br> Master Guo Gan is the first traditional Chinese musician to receive multiple international awards, including the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres medal. An erhu player, he trained at the music conservatories of Shenyang in China and Fresnes in France. Author or collaborator on a vast body of work, Guo Gan has performed in over one hundred countries and worked with numerous renowned musicians such as Lang Lang, Hans Zimmer, Jean-François Zygel, Adrien Frasse-Sombet, and Didier Lockwood.<br><br> <strong>Liu Yi Qing:</strong><br> Born in China into a family of musicians, he began learning the pipa at the age of six with his father. After being part of the army's artistic troupe, he studied at various conservatories in the Paris region. Today, he is a multi-style musician, integrating elements of traditional Chinese music into jazz, rock, hip-hop, and other genres.<br><br> <strong>Chen Jian:</strong><br> The guzheng is a traditional Chinese instrument with a 2,500-year history. Its sounds are vibrant and powerful enough to generate a wide range of musical possibilities. It is one of the most popular traditional Chinese instruments.<br><br> Chen Jian began his musical training at the age of six, under several renowned teachers. His playing can be turbulent, bold and exciting, but also smooth and delicate, always elegant.</p>
