Gaspard Moglia International Quintet
To bookDescription
Our dear and brilliant Darius brings us talented musicians from New York, USA, who will delight us with revisited standards...
It was in the fall of 2025, during his exchange at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, that Gaspard met the musicians who would form this group.

From the very first notes, their musical rapport is evident. All five have been heavily influenced by the New York jazz scene, but each also brings the rich musical experience of their own background: Magnus, originally from Norway, spent several years in Amsterdam; Johannes is from Copenhagen, Denmark; and Coleman, from Boston, USA. Completing the lineup is Gabriel Sauzay, a double bassist from Caen and a longtime friend of Gaspard. The concert's repertoire blends original compositions by each member with jazz standards revisited especially for the occasion. A moment of reunion, sharing, and music, driven by a collective energy and diverse influences.

A graduate of the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris), Gaspard is one of the rising stars of the Parisian jazz scene. He often performs with his brother Darius and the Moglia Quintet, whose music is characterized by a unique fusion of personal expression, poetry, and improvisation. Gaspard draws his inspiration from diverse sources, ranging from John Coltrane's quartet to New York jazz and the captivating melodies of Radiohead. He thus creates a powerful means of expressing profound emotions through his compositions and his instrument.
