The Gobelins complex comprises no fewer than 600 former palaces of the Republic, transformed into carpets and tapestries by 80 artists, using 23,000 shades of color and 3 workshops that preserve unique and traditional weaving techniques. The Gobelins and Beauvais workshops produce tapestries using the high-warp and low-warp methods, respectively. The Savonnerie workshop is dedicated to carpet production using the high-warp method. Your guide will lead you behind the scenes, revealing the secrets and workshops of the tapestry weavers. Visit two of the three remaining workshops and discover the meticulous care and precision with which those who craft the most beautiful works for official palaces work.
