The Barcelona Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, is home to over 11,000 marine animals of 450 different species. It is considered the most important Mediterranean aquarium. Its most impressive inhabitants are the sharks that swim in an underwater tunnel over 80 meters long, giving the sensation of walking on the seabed.
