Irene Cara, de son vrai nom Irene T. Escalera, (18 mars 1959) dans le Bronx à New York City. C'est une actrice, chanteuse et danseuse/chorégraphe américaine.
Biographie
Irene Cara a interprété le rôle de Coco Hernandez dans le film d'Alan Parker Fame dont elle a aussi chanté la chanson titre.
Sur la bande originale du film Flashdance, elle a interprété Flashdance (What A Feeling). Cette chanson lui a valu le Grammy de la meilleure chanteuse pop en 1984.
