The Bouffes du Nord is a theater, located in the area of the Chapel , at 37 bis Boulevard de La Chapelle , in the 10th arrondissement of Paris , opposite the metro station La Chapelle .

History

The Bouffes du Nord was built in 1876 and was then appointed Molière Theatre until 1904 . It will be a mecca of artistic its inception until after the Second World War. In May 1945, a young director, Jean Serge , gives the theater called "Theatre of the Crossroads." But the room will see the closure in June 1952 because at that time it offered more security standards required by the police.
